To be fair, it's the French who seem to have a problem with US's relief work.
Yes, this sort of thing isn't flattering to the French. Sarkozy apparently realises that -- he's playing down the row. But this proprietorial attitude that the French have over French-speaking regions is particularly misplaced in the case of Haiti...
